Even if you have a terrific health
insurance plan, it's worthless if the company doesn't pay
- regardless of the reason. While you can't be certain of
an insurance companies financial status, you can tell something
by their track record.
With that in mind, see how long the company
has been in business. Talk to the health insurance agent you'll
be working with and find out how many health insurance claims
are filed annually. Of those health insurance claims, how
many are paid and what are the reasons for non-payment?
Your health insurance agent is also important
and you should find out how long he's been with the company.
After all, if your local health insurance representative is
gone, how will you file claims on your health insurance policy?
Evaluating your health insurance company and
the health insurance representative is every bit as important
as evaluating the policy.
